It's about tops smashing into each other, and on that front, it rules.

For me, it’s not perfect, but it’s got enough of the original charm to make it work, especially for younger viewers coming in fresh.

It’s kind of amazing this show is still going. Even more amazing that it’s still funny. Lee Mack’s timing is perfect. I love how it never tries to be anything other than what it is. I personally find comfort in that. It’s fast and silly. Full of proper jokes. Sometimes that’s exactly what I need at the end of the day.

If you’re into reality TV at all, this season is kind of legendary. This is where the show really figured itself out. The couples are unforgettable in the most chaotic way, and the drama is nonstop. Personally, I think season five is essential viewing if you want to understand how this franchise became what it is now.

The UK version takes the same wild setup and gives it a gentler twist. I like that. The British cast brings a sort of dry, deadpan charm that plays really differently from the American version. It’s still messy, of course, but there’s something more grounded about it. I found it oddly soothing, in its own awkward way.
