★★★★☆ 4.5/5I watch a lot of true crime, and this one stands out in a big way. The level of access is unlike anything I’ve seen. You feel like you're right there in the middle of the investigation, which makes it gripping from start to finish. What sets it apart for me is how raw and detailed it is—it doesn’t hold anything back.

The Traitors NZ
BBC iPlayerTV Series | Jun 16, 2025
In this New Zealand edition of the popular reality competition, a group of contestants arrive at a grand mansion to compete for a cash prize. Secretly, some are designated as 'Traitors,' while the rest are 'Faithful.' The Traitors conspire to eliminate the Faithful, while the Faithful must identify and banish the Traitors before they all fall victim. It's a game of deception, trust, and psychological strategy.
🎬 Reality, Psychological Thriller, Mystery | 📍 New Zealand | 🗣️ English
🎥 Directed by: Claudine MacLean
🎭 Cast: Paul HenryOur Take
★★★★☆ 4/5I’m completely hooked on The Traitors, and I think the New Zealand version might be my favorite so far. The casting is sharp, the strategy is brutal, and every episode delivers. Paul Henry as the host adds just the right amount of dark humor. If you like mind games and unexpected twists, you’ll love this.

★★★★☆ 4/5The first season was one of the smartest crime dramas I’ve seen in a while. It was tense without being flashy. The acting was excellent across the board. I’m really hoping season two keeps that same grounded tone. If you like stories about heists that go beyond the surface, this one’s worth following.

🎭 Cast: Lee Mack, Sally Bretton, Hugh Dennis, Abigail Cruttenden, Mike Wozniak, Ray Fearon, Eileen O'Brien, Alex James-PhelpsOur Take
★★★☆☆ 3.5/5It’s kind of amazing this show is still going. Even more amazing that it’s still funny. Lee Mack’s timing is perfect. I love how it never tries to be anything other than what it is. I personally find comfort in that. It’s fast and silly. Full of proper jokes. Sometimes that’s exactly what I need at the end of the day.
