The Intern
NetflixMovie | Jun 22, 2025
Ben Whittaker, seventy, figures golf and daytime TV are not enough. When a trendy online fashion company posts an opening for senior interns, he signs right up. Jules Ostin, the founder, runs the place at full sprint and is not sure what to do with a suit-and-tie grandfather in her open office. Give it a week. Ben’s steady habits and kindly humor win the staff over, and Jules starts leaning on his advice in boardrooms and coffee shops alike.
🎬 Comedy, Drama | 📍 United States | 🗣️ English
🎥 Directed by: Nancy Meyers
🎭 Cast: Robert De Niro, Anne Hathaway, Rene RussoOur Take
★★★☆☆ 3.5/5‘The Intern' is the kind of movie I’d put on during a quiet weekend just to feel good. The chemistry between Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway is surprisingly sweet, and I couldn’t help but smile at Ben’s steady calmness. Sure, the plot is a little predictable and doesn’t try to reinvent anything—but maybe that’s part of why it works. For me, it’s a warm, comforting rewatch that gently reminds you how much quiet kindness can matter.

The Gilded Age, Season 3
HBO MaxTV Series | Jun 22, 2025
The social stakes in New York’s upper circles continue to climb. Bertha Russell, fresh off her victory with the opera, now turns her sights on the Academy of Music. Meanwhile, Marian struggles with the expectations placed on her and the life she actually wants. The Astor family still casts a long shadow, and tensions between legacy and ambition keep building. Expect more lavish sets, intricate politics, and unspoken rules that demand to be followed.
🎬 Drama, History | 📍 United States | 🗣️ English
🎥 Directed by: Michael Engler, Salli Richardson-Whitfield
🎭 Cast: Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, Morgan SpectorOur Take
★★★★☆ 4/5I’ve always had a thing for historical dramas, but this season just feels extra sharp. Bertha Russell is even more ruthless than before, and I kind of love it. The old-money vs new-money tension is way more interesting now that the characters are all fully in play. And the clothes? The sets? Honestly, half the fun is just soaking in how good it all looks. If you like your drama rich, both literally and figuratively, this one's for you.

Ironheart
Disney+Miniseries | Jun 24, 2025
Riri Williams is brilliant, bold, and already building tech that could change everything. Back home in Chicago after the events in Wakanda, she’s trying to stay grounded. But danger finds her fast. As threats grow and the line between science and magic begins to blur, Riri has to step into something bigger than herself. She’s not just building armor. She’s figuring out what kind of legacy she wants to leave behind.
🎬 Action, Sci-Fi, Drama, Adventure | 📍 United States | 🗣️ English
🎥 Directed by: Sam Bailey, Angela Barnes
🎭 Cast: Dominique Thorne, Anthony Ramos, Alden Ehrenreich, Lyric Ross, Sacha Baron CohenOur Take
★★★★☆ 4/5I really liked Riri in Wakanda Forever, so I was excited for this—and it didn’t disappoint. Dominique Thorne brings this mix of intelligence and vulnerability that works so well for the role. What I liked most was how grounded it felt. Yeah, there’s tech and powers, but it’s still her figuring out who she is and what kind of legacy she wants to leave. Honestly, I’m just glad Marvel gave her the space to shine.

Countdown
Prime VideoTV Series | Jun 25, 2025
A rocket window closes in seventy-two hours and someone on the launch team turns up dead. Detective Mark Meachum trades his badge for a contractor badge and walks into Mission Control pretending to belong. Lab doors lock behind him, motives multiply, and every clue points higher up the ladder. If he slips, the next casualty might ground the mission permanently.
🎬 Crime, Drama, Thriller | 📍 United States | 🗣️ English
🎥 Directed by: Derek Haas
🎭 Cast: Jensen Ackles, Jessica Camacho, Nnamdi AsomughaOur Take
★★☆☆☆ 2.5/5I really wanted to like this more—especially with Jensen Ackles leading—but it didn’t quite land for me. The premise is super cool (a murder in Mission Control? I’m in), but the story plays out a bit too predictably. It reminded me of early 2000s TV procedurals, which can be fun, but also a bit forgettable. If you’re a big fan of the genre or Ackles himself, you’ll probably still enjoy it, but it didn’t leave much of a mark on me.

FX's The Bear: Complete Season 4
HuluTV Series | Jun 25, 2025
The restaurant is open, the team is in place, and the dream is finally real. But Carmy and his crew soon realize that success brings its own kind of pressure. They’re chasing a Michelin star while trying to stay grounded, even as the work becomes more intense. Every dish, every moment in the kitchen, pushes them harder. This season is about aiming high without falling apart in the process.
🎬 Drama, Comedy, Sitcom | 📍 United States | 🗣️ English
🎥 Directed by: Christopher Storer, Joanna Calo
🎭 Cast: Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Matty MathesonOur Take
★★★★☆ 4.5/5No other show stresses me out like The Bear, and I mean that as a compliment. This season feels like everything’s on the line, and the Michelin star storyline only makes the pressure worse—for them and for me watching. The cast is still incredible, and the writing is brutal and beautiful at the same time. It somehow captures chaos and tenderness in the same breath. I think it’s still the best thing on TV right now.

Squid Game: Season 3
NetflixTV Series | Jun 27, 2025
Gi-hun walked away once. Peace never followed. Tracking the hosts pulls him into back alleys, private airstrips, and finally right back to the arena. He is done playing to stay alive. This time the goal is to crack the system, even if that means stepping onto the first green tile again.
🎬 Thriller, Drama, Action | 📍 South Korea | 🗣️ Korean
🎥 Directed by: Hwang Dong-hyuk
🎭 Cast: Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-joonOur Take
★★★★★ 5/5After how massive the first season was, I went into this with seriously high expectations—and honestly, it delivers. Gi-hun returning not to survive, but to fight back, adds a whole new layer to the story. The new games are terrifying in all the right ways, and the emotional tension feels even sharper than before. It’s not just more of the same; it feels like a meaningful step forward. For me, this is absolutely must-watch TV.

Pati, Seasons 1&2
HBO MaxTV Series | Jun 27, 2025
Pati’s world falls apart fast. Her mother is sent to prison. Her siblings are taken away. Suddenly, she’s left to figure things out on her own. What starts as a fight to keep her family together turns into a much tougher struggle against the streets around her. The series follows her descent into a world of crime, loyalty, and hard decisions. Still, there’s something about Pati that won’t break, no matter how much she’s tested.
🎬 Drama, Crime | 📍 Poland | 🗣️ Polish
🎥 Directed by: Bartłomiej Ignaciuk
🎭 Cast: Aleksandra Adamska, Konrad Eleryk, Agata KuleszaOur Take
★★★★☆ 4/5I took a chance on this one and got completely pulled in. Pati’s life is messy and brutal, but there’s so much heart in how it’s told. Aleksandra Adamska is unbelievable in the role. She brings this tough, vulnerable energy that makes you root for her, even when everything’s falling apart. It’s not glossy or clean, but that’s what makes it hit harder. Definitely worth watching if you want something raw and real.

🎥 Directed by: Dallas Jenkins
🎭 Cast: Jonathan Roumie, Elizabeth Tabish, Luke Dimyan, Joey Vahedi, Vanessa Benavente, Paul Ben-VictorOur Take
★★★★☆ 4/5This series continues to be one of the most thoughtful and moving takes on the Gospels I’ve seen. If you’re already a fan, this season is a must. The performances feel grounded and real, and the emotional weight behind the key moments really comes through. I think the way it focuses on the characters as people, not just symbols, is what makes it so powerful.

🎬 Psychological Thriller, Drama, Mystery | 📍 South Korea | 🗣️ Korean
🎥 Directed by: Jo Soo-won, Kim Sang-hoon
🎭 Cast: Jang Na-ra, Son Ho-jun, So Yi-hyunOur Take
★★★☆☆ 3.5/5If you're into psychological thrillers with twists and betrayals, this one’s definitely worth watching. Jang Na-ra is excellent here, and she really drives the tension. I did think the story got a little too tangled toward the end, but the buildup was gripping enough that I didn’t mind too much.

Love Me
Paramount+Movie | Jun 16, 2025
In a post-apocalyptic future, a buoy and a satellite meet online and fall in love. As their virtual connection deepens, they ponder whether their unique bond can translate into a real-world relationship. This romantic sci-fi drama explores themes of connection, loneliness, and what it means to be alive in an isolated world.
🎬 Romance, Drama, Sci-Fi | 📍 United States | 🗣️ English
🎥 Directed by: Sam Zuchero, Andrew Zuchero
🎭 Cast: Kristen Stewart, Steven YeunOur Take
★★☆☆☆ 2/5I was really intrigued by the premise and excited to see Kristen Stewart and Steven Yeun together on screen. But this just didn’t work for me. The execution felt all over the place, and despite the great cast, the story never connected on an emotional level. It had potential, but I found it slow and frustrating.

This acclaimed political thriller follows Olivia Pope, a former White House Communications Director who starts her own crisis management firm, Olivia Pope & Associates. Pope and her team of 'gladiators in suits' work to protect the public images of the nation's elite and solve their most scandalous problems. The series delves into the dark and complex world of Washington D.C. politics, where every character has secrets and no one is who they seem. 🎭 Cast: Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, Scott Foley, Darby Stanchfield, Katie Lowes, Guillermo Diaz, Jeff Perry, Bellamy YoungOur Take
★★★★☆ 4.5/5This is one of the most addictive shows I’ve ever seen. The pace is nonstop, and Kerry Washington absolutely owns every scene. If you’ve never watched it before, now’s the perfect time. And if you already have, it’s worth revisiting. “It’s handled” still hits just as hard.

NetflixTV Series | Jun 18, 2025
The fourth season of this gritty crime drama continues the story of Rosario Tijeras, a woman from the wrong side of the tracks who becomes a legendary figure in the criminal underworld. This season is expected to delve deeper into the consequences of Rosario's past actions and her ongoing struggle for survival in a world of violence and betrayal. 🎬 Crime, Drama | 📍 Mexico | 🗣️ Spanish

🎭 Cast: Bárbara de Regil, Sebastián Martínez, Juan Pablo CampaOur Take
★★☆☆☆ 2.5/5I've been a fan of this series for a long time, so I was really looking forward to this new season. But honestly, I felt a bit let down. The plot felt rushed and kind of repetitive, and it just didn’t have the same intensity as the earlier seasons. I’d say it’s mainly for die-hard fans who want closure on her story.

The Buccaneers Season 2
Apple TV+TV Series | Jun 18, 2025
Season 2 of 'The Buccaneers' continues the story of a group of vibrant young American heiresses navigating the rigid social circles of 1870s London. After the dramatic events of the first season, the girls find themselves facing new challenges and complexities in their pursuit of love, independence, and belonging. As they contend with societal expectations, romantic entanglements, and family secrets, their bonds of friendship are tested. The series promises more period drama, sharp wit, and a modern sensibility as these rebellious 'new money' Americans continue to shake up the aristocratic world of old England.
🎬 Drama, Romance, History | 📍 United Kingdom | 🗣️ English
🎥 Directed by: William McGregor, Rachel Leiterman, John Hardwick, Charlie Manton
🎭 Cast: Kristine Frøseth, Alisha Boe, Aubri Ibrag, Josie Totah, Imogen Waterhouse, Matthew Broome, Guy Remmers, Christina Hendricks, Leighton Meester, Josh Dylan, Barney Fishwick, Jacob IfanOur Take
★★★☆☆ 3/5I still love the styling and modern twist of this series, but this season didn’t quite work for me. It goes in a darker direction, and I felt like some of the characters made choices that didn’t add up. That said, if you’re already invested in the story, there’s still plenty to enjoy. It just doesn’t have the same charm as the first season.

From creator Kevin Williamson ('Scream,' 'The Vampire Diaries') comes a new drama about a prominent family in a North Carolina fishing town. When the family's struggling fishing empire is on the brink of collapse, they are forced to confront their dark past and make difficult decisions to protect their legacy. 🎬 Drama | 📍 United States | 🗣️ English
🎥 Directed by: Marcos Siega, Kevin Williamson
🎭 Cast: Holt McCallany, Maria Bello, Melissa Benoist, Jake Weary, Rafael L. SilvaOur Take
★★★★☆ 4.5/5I honestly think this might be one of the best new shows of the year. Kevin Williamson’s writing is sharp and suspenseful, and Holt McCallany delivers a performance that really grounds the whole thing. It gave me the same kind of tension and atmosphere that I loved in early Ozark. I was hooked right away.

🎬 Action, Drama, Crime, Thriller | 📍 Denmark | 🗣️ Danish

★★★★☆ 4/5If you like heist films with a focus on character, this is one you shouldn’t miss. It’s got real tension, strong performances, and a more thoughtful approach than most action thrillers. What stood out to me was how it handles the personal cost of the choices the characters make. It’s not flashy, but it sticks with you.

🎥 Directed by: Marçal Forès, Daniel Barone, Ibai Abad, Ana Vázquez
🎭 Cast: Clara Galle, María RomanillosOur Take
★★★☆☆ 3.5/5If you’re after a new guilty pleasure, this is a strong pick. It hits a lot of the same notes as Elite, with high-stakes drama and flashy teen storylines. Some of the plots felt a little thin to me, but the queer romance was handled really well, and that alone made it worth watching.

★★★★☆ 4/5The first season was one of the smartest crime dramas I’ve seen in a while. It was tense without being flashy. The acting was excellent across the board. I’m really hoping season two keeps that same grounded tone. If you like stories about heists that go beyond the surface, this one’s worth following.

Families Like Ours
NetflixMiniseries | Jun 10, 2025
Directed by Oscar-winner Thomas Vinterberg, this emotionally charged miniseries takes place in a near-future Denmark struggling with rising sea levels. As widespread flooding forces the population to leave their homes, the story follows several families as they face separation, loss, and uncertainty. Through intimate storytelling, the series captures the human cost of environmental change and highlights the strength of family ties during times of upheaval. It’s a powerful reflection on identity, belonging, and the meaning of home when everything familiar starts to disappear.
🎬 Drama, Sci-Fi | 📍 Denmark | 🗣️ Danish
🎥 Directed by: Thomas Vinterberg
🎭 Cast: Amaryllis August, Albert Rudbeck Lindhardt, Nikolaj Lie Kaas, Paprika SteenOur Take
★★★★☆ 4.5/5With Thomas Vinterberg directing, I expected something bold, and that’s exactly what this is. I found the premise completely gripping. It flips the typical refugee narrative on its head, and I don’t think it lets anyone off the hook emotionally. For me, this was a rare piece of sci-fi that actually challenged how I think, not just how I feel. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants more than just escapism from their dramas.

🎬 Drama, Romance | 📍 Sweden | 🗣️ Georgian
🎥 Directed by: Levan Akin
🎭 Cast: Levan Gelbakhiani, Bachi Valishvili, Ana JavakhishviliOur Take
★★★★☆ 4.5/5What a beautiful, defiant film. Levan Gelbakhiani gives one of those performances that says everything without needing much dialogue. The way he moves, the way he holds back—it all hit me pretty hard. I think it’s a must-watch, not just as a queer love story, but as a statement about carving out space for yourself in a world that won’t easily make room.

★★★☆☆ 3/5The premise definitely grabs attention, and I’ll admit I’m curious. This could either be something really thoughtful or it could end up leaning into shock value. I’m hoping for the former. If it handles the subject matter with care, there’s a lot of room here for something meaningful. I’m watching it with some hesitation, but also with real interest.

Set in modern-day Poland, this character-driven drama follows Aniela, a woman whose carefully structured life unravels overnight. As she faces unexpected challenges, Aniela is pushed to reevaluate her choices, confront long-avoided truths, and navigate complex family dynamics. 🎭 Cast: Małgorzata Kożuchowska, Jacek Poniedziałek, Cezary Pazura, Gabriela Muskała, Filip Pławiak, Renata DancewiczOur Take
★★★☆☆ 3.5/5I didn’t expect to enjoy this as much as I did. The lead actress completely carries the show, and I was drawn in by how quietly honest her story felt. It’s not flashy or groundbreaking, and the plot is familiar in places, but I think the writing has a dry sharpness that works. There’s this mix of humor and melancholy that really clicked with me. I’ve seen shows try that tone and miss, but this one gets it right.

🎬 Comedy, Drama, Romance | 📍 Brazil | 🗣️ Portuguese
🎥 Directed by: Cris D'Amato
🎭 Cast: Thati Lopes, Regina Braga, Jonas BlochOur Take
★★☆☆☆ 2.5/5This is one of those movies I put on when I didn’t want anything heavy. And it delivered exactly that. I liked the scenery, and the main performance is charming enough, but the story? It’s completely predictable. For me, it was nice background viewing on a lazy evening, but nothing I’d remember the next day. Sometimes that’s fine too.

🎥 Directed by: Neill Blomkamp
🎭 Cast: Archie Madekwe, David Harbour, Orlando Bloom, Darren Barnet, Geri Halliwell Horner, Djimon HounsouOur Take
★★★★☆ 4/5This movie had no business being this good. What starts as a video game adaptation turns into a proper sports drama that’s actually thrilling and, yeah, surprisingly emotional. David Harbour steals every scene, and the racing feels visceral in the best way. For me, it’s worth watching just for the sound design alone. That part really stuck with me.

Kings of Jo'Burg: Season 3
NetflixTV Series | Jun 13, 2025
The third season of this gripping South African series dives deeper into the shadowy world of Johannesburg’s criminal elite. The Masire brothers return to confront new enemies and old rivalries, all while grappling with the supernatural legacy that has long haunted their family. As tensions rise and alliances shift, the line between power and sacrifice becomes increasingly blurred. With its mix of crime, mythology, and family drama, this season raises the stakes in every way.

🎥 Directed by: Shona Ferguson, Samad Davis
🎭 Cast: Brenda Ngxoli, Cindy Mahlangu, Connie Ferguson, Masasa Mbangeni, Bongile Mantsai, Abdul KhozaOur Take
★★★☆☆ 3/5This show still looks incredible. The production design, the vibe, the pacing. All of it feels sleek. But personally, I think the supernatural parts get in the way. When it leans into the mystical, it pulls me out of what could have been a strong crime story. I'm still waiting for the emotional moments to land as hard as the action.

An aging mobster attempts to rebuild bridges with the children he pushed away years ago, hoping to leave his violent past behind. But walking away from the life is never easy. As old enemies and unfinished business resurface, he finds himself pulled back into the criminal world he’s trying to escape. 🎬 Drama, Crime, Thriller, Mystery | 📍 United States | 🗣️ English
🎥 Directed by: Hans Petter Moland
🎭 Cast: Liam Neeson, Ron Perlman, Yolonda Ross, Daniel Diemer, Frankie Shaw, Jimmy GonzalesOur Take
★★☆☆☆ 2/5I wanted to like this more than I did. I respect the effort to give Liam Neeson something moodier and more introspective, but for me, the whole thing drags. It’s slow without being meaningful, and the story never really goes anywhere. If you’re expecting classic Neeson action, this isn’t it. But even as a drama, it didn’t land for me.

🎬 Crime, Drama, Mystery | 📍 Italy | 🗣️ Italian
🎥 Directed by: Unknown
🎭 Cast: Teresa Saponangelo, Flavio Furno, Chiara CelottoOur Take
★★★☆☆ 3.5/5This looks like it could be a strong mix of action and emotion. The setup is familiar — a retired agent pulled back into danger — but the personal angle gives it weight. What I’m most curious about is how well it balances the conspiracy with the emotional core. If it pulls that off, I think this could really stand out.

★★★☆☆ 3/5I haven’t followed Grey’s for years, but I’ve got to admit it’s impressive that the show is still going this strong. There’s something about its mix of hospital drama and tangled relationships that keeps people coming back. For longtime fans, it still offers that familiar mix of comfort and chaos.

★★★☆☆ 3/5The UK version takes the same wild setup and gives it a gentler twist. I like that. The British cast brings a sort of dry, deadpan charm that plays really differently from the American version. It’s still messy, of course, but there’s something more grounded about it. I found it oddly soothing, in its own awkward way.
